Terms and Conditions of This Study

Participation in this study is voluntary. By enrolling, you acknowledge that certain elements of the study design are intentionally undisclosed to preserve research integrity.

The individual referred to as the “stranger” will remain permanently anonymous. Outside of what the "stranger" chooses to share in their story, no name, contact information, or identifying details will be revealed at any stage, including after the study concludes. All interactions are intentionally anonymous.

Purchase of the autobiography is entirely optional, each stranger's story is unique, and the purchase is at your discretion. You purchase only gets you access to the current stranger's autobiography. You will not receive any future autobiographies from other strangers unless you choose to purchase them separately.

You certify that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally permitted to participate under the laws of your jurisdiction.

Enrollment is restricted to adults age 18 and older. Minors are not eligible to participate.

If you choose to purchase an autobiography from the stranger, payment is processed securely through Stripe. Unless required by law, all payments are non‑refundable once checkout is completed. In the event of a dispute or chargeback, the organizers may provide documentation to the payment processor to verify the transaction and digital assets received.

You may discontinue participation at any time prior to submitting your response. Once submitted, your data may be included in aggregated analysis.

Participation does not include compensation, rewards, or guaranteed outcomes. Any purchase is voluntary and not tied to benefits or incentives.

This study does not provide financial advice, guidance, or recommendations. Decisions to purchase an autobiography are made at your own discretion.

Responses may be analyzed in aggregate for research and reporting purposes. Individual submissions will not be publicly attributed to you.

You understand that outcomes are not guaranteed, experiences may vary, and participation is at your own discretion and risk.

We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove participants for abuse, fraud, policy violations, or actions that compromise the integrity or safety of the study.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organizers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation.

Privacy practices are described in thePrivacy Policy. Personal information will not be sold.

These terms may be updated. Continued participation after updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
