+What exactly is this?
It is a study on human behavior in regards purchasing a stranger's autobiography even though it may not interest you but believing it would help the author out. $5 is an insignificant amount of money to most people so would you pay it, or more? In order to know how many would even consider it, we need to hear from you.
+Who can participate?
Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria and is willing to submit a response. We want to hear from you no matter what your answer is. We are looking for a diverse group of participants to get a better understanding of how different people choose to spend their money.
+Why are you doing this?
We have been working in analytics for over 20 years, we are conducting this study to see how different groups of people make decisions and, depending on that decision, to act on it. Hopefully we will also be helping some authors sell their autobiographies and hopefully those who choose to purchase get to read some interesting stories about people they never knew.
+Is my payment information secure?
Yes, your information is secure. Payment information is handled securely by Stripe, JL Studies will never have access to any payment information.
+How do I become the next stranger in the study?
Anyone who participates in the study and opts into the stranger selection pool will be eligible to be selected as the next stranger. We will randomly select a participant from the pool to be the next stranger when we near the end of the current stranger's study. If you are selected as the next stranger, we will notify you via email and provide instructions on how to submit your brief story, and full autobiography. You must respond within 5 business days or we will select another participant from the pool.
+How will I receive the autobiography?
An email is required during enrollment and will be used to send you the autobiography after purchase. The autobiography will be sent as a PDF file and created by the stranger.
+When and how do participants learn the outcome?
After the timer has expired for each stranger's study, the results are made public on the website, under the results section. We will also email you at the address you provided during enrollment.
+Can I get a refund?
No, as this is a digital product there are no refunds. Please understand you don't know much about the autobiography and should make your purchase decision accordingly.
